OUR HISTORY

Few people are aware that the origins of Harbinger Horizon LLC can be traced back to a chance encounter at a coffee shop on Sunset Blvd in Los Angeles, California in 2016. Del, a visionary entrepreneur, found himself involved in a short film project for a film festival contest, collaborating with students from the Los Angeles Film School. Little did he know that this casual setting would become the birthplace of an organization committed to empowering individuals and industries alike.

During a conversation about his philanthropic endeavors and volunteer work, Del made a remarkable statement: "to be a harbinger for people who are striving to rise above stability." This simple yet profound idea sparked the initial concept for Harbinger Horizon LLC. In an act of spontaneous inspiration, Del scribbled a rough business plan on a humble napkin. The plan outlined his vision to help individuals across various industries become stronger leaders by addressing complex challenges through simplistic straight talk.

Primarily, our founder, Del, has a background in the law enforcement profession as a sworn peace officer for the state of California. Over the course of nearly a decade, he dedicated himself to traditional police work, gaining valuable experience and honing his skills in maintaining peace and order within the community. However, after reaching a pivotal point in his career, Del was promoted to a training position within the organization. This new role offered him the opportunity to make a significant impact by designing and facilitating curriculum for both sworn and non-sworn members of the law enforcement organization. Del recognized the importance of continuous learning and skill development for law enforcement officials of all ranks, and he even today strives to create engaging and relevant training programs that would improve the overall effectiveness of the department.

Del's commitment to his craft went beyond the confines of his role as a law enforcement trainer. He firmly believed that “one's profession should not limit the service they can provide to their community.” With this guiding principle in mind, Del sought out opportunities to engage with various community groups outside of his law enforcement employer. Visiting schools, churches, and marginalized communities mostly parts of Los Angeles that he grew up in, Del dedicated himself to building bridges with community members, not immediately identifiable by his employer or defined by his profession. He used his platform to deliver compelling stories of overcoming adversity, share insights on career planning, and provide knowledge about equal-opportunity employment. Del recognized that these topics were not easily accessible to everyone, particularly those in underserved communities. By sharing his experiences and knowledge, Del aimed to empower individuals from all walks of life to pursue their dreams and contribute positively to society. He understood that education and information were powerful tools for personal and professional growth.

In his quest to serve the community, Del's impact extended far beyond traditional law enforcement duties. His commitment to delivering meaningful, relevant training and his dedication to empowering individuals from diverse backgrounds showcased his passion for making a difference. As we move forward, our organization remains inspired by Del's example. We strive to continue his legacy by prioritizing continuous learning, engaging with the community, and supporting individuals from all backgrounds in their quest for personal and professional growth. Del's belief that one's profession should not define the service they provide reminds us that there are limitless opportunities to make a positive impact, both within our own organization and in the communities we serve.

While the law enforcement profession and conducts professional development presentations, he has also delved into the world of film production. Little did he know that this experience would prove to be a fortuitous asset in the face of the unexpected challenges brought forth by the COVID-19 pandemic. In March of 2020, when the pandemic brought all in-person presentations to a grinding halt, Harbinger Horizon LLC refused to succumb to the adversity. Instead of shutting its doors, the organization swiftly adapted, leveraging its newfound expertise in film production to transition seamlessly to video and virtual presentations. With relentless determination, Harbinger Horizon LLC established a full-scale production and virtual studio. This transformation not only ensured the continuity of their services but also opened up new avenues for growth and expansion.

While Harbinger Horizon LLC has since resumed in-person services, it continues to embrace video and virtual platforms now with the expansion of the company titled Harbinger Media. By fostering an environment where innovation thrives, the organization has transformed what could have been a setback into an opportunity for growth. Today, Harbinger Horizon LLC stands as a shining example of adaptability and resilience in the face of uncertainty.
